Job Description

Location: Oakland, CASchedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00am-2:30pm Benefits: Benefits for full-time employees include: Health insurance, 401(k) plan with employer matching,  FSA & Dependent Care plan,  Audiobook reimbursement, Paid vacation.Pay:$28 - $32/hrStatus: Full time, non-exemptFarmscape is seeking an experienced Assistant Landscape Installation Foreman to support our landscape installation team in landscape construction, irrigation installation, hardscape, carpentry, or a related construction trade. 

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside the Foreman and crew to complete residential and commercial landscape construction and installation projects
  • Complete landscape installation work including hardscape, carpentry, planting, grading, drainage, and irrigation
  • Help lead crew members and keep projects moving safely, efficiently, and on schedule 
  • Read and follow landscape plans, measurements, layouts, and grades with direction from the Foreman 
  • Install, repair, and troubleshoot irrigation systems, including drip irrigation, valves, sprinklers, and controllers
  • Prepare lists of parts, materials, and supplies needed for landscape install jobs
  • Use landscape construction tools and equipment safely
  • Train and guide crew members on proper landscape installation, tool use, and safe work practices
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with the Foreman, crew members, clients, and vendors
  • Drive between project sites and supply vendors (valid driver’s license required)

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of professional landscape construction, landscape installation, or related construction experience
  • Experience with irrigation, grading, drainage, hardscape, carpentry, and planting
  • Able to use landscape plans, measurements, and grades with direction from the Foreman
  • Experience using construction tools and equipment safely
  • Able to work well with a crew and communicate clearly with coworkers and clients
  • Follows safety rules and takes pride in doing quality work
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance

Physical Demands: 

  • Ability to lift 75lbs
  • Ability to perform manual work, lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time 
  • Ability to perform physical labor outdoors in various weather conditions
