About the Role:
Paris Baguette Rockaway is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Assistant Manager to help lead our bakery and café team in Rockaway, NJ. Responsibilities:

• Support the Store Manager in daily bakery and café operations to ensure smooth, efficient service
• Lead, coach, and motivate team members to deliver outstanding customer experiences
• Oversee food quality, presentation, and freshness standards across all bakery and café products
• Assist with scheduling, staffing, and workforce management
• Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and minimize waste
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health code regulations
• Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and conflict resolution professionally
• Drive sales performance and assist in meeting store revenue goals

Requirements:

• 1-3 years of supervisory or management experience in a bakery, café, or food service environment
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a team
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices (ServSafe certification is required)
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including mornings, weekends, and holidays
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Passion for baked goods, café culture, and delivering a premium guest experience
