At Huntington, we offer students of all grade levels tutoring in Reading, Writing, Mathematics, Study Skills, Phonics, Vocabulary, Science, Test Prep, High School Entrance Exam preparation, and SAT/PSAT & ACT preparation. Our Omaha store is currently averaging a 6-point increase for the ACT and a 230-point increase on the SAT. We are educators who truly care about student success. As a Manager in Training, you will be expected to:
- Perform academic evaluations.
- Provide student instruction / Tutor.
- Participate in marketing events and general ground marketing.
- Monitor student instructional programs and progress, including Exam Prep.
- Assist management and training of part-time teaching staff.
- Help create and maintain teacher and student schedules.
- Conduct student conferences and some interim conferences with parents (as needed).
- Work directly with the Center Staff.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Marketing, retail, and customer service experience are a plus.
- High level of organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Highly motivated self-starter, able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Enjoys working with students of all ages.
- Flexibility to work day or evening hours.
- The general schedule is Monday -Thursday 3 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

About Company
The Huntington Learning Center in La Grange Park is proud to serve the communities of La Grange, La Grange Park, Western Springs, Brookfield, Riverside, Hinsdale, Oak Brook, Lyons, Bellwood, Westchester and parts of Chicago. We have a team of capable, caring professionals that work with students from Kindergarten through high school.
We have an excellent reputation as is evident by the fact that over half of the families that we serve come to us through a friend or family recommendation. We strive to provide each student with the best education possible.
We are proud to provide skill work to students in reading, writing, math, phonics and study skills. We are also home to the premier ACT/SAT program in the area. Our ACT preparation has seen our students average a 4.5 point increase on the exam. 4.5 points! We also provide subject specific tutoring in math and science.
All tutoring is done by certified teachers.
We are proud to be active members of our communities as we are involved with both the La Grange Park Chamber and and West Suburban Chamber of Commerce. We reserve our greatest pride for the hundreds of students that we have helped in the 20 plus years that we have been open.
At the 2018 National Convention, Huntington honored outstanding centers with awards for center growth, student enrollment, customer service and other achievements. Garry Fairfield of the La Grange, IL center was awarded the Commitment to Student Success Award and Executive Chairman’s Club Award for superior customer service.
