Assistant Manager Job Description -
Requirements :
- Minimum 2+ years high volume restaurant management experience.
- Positive attitude towards growth in coworkers and oneself.
- Trending consistency in time and attendance.
- Awareness and an aptitude towards conflict resolution and mediation with upset guests.
- Strong leadership and people skills needed to manage guests and staff interactions.
- Experience with every aspect of FOH service from food running to bar management, kitchen experience preferred.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Inventory management experience.
- Scheduling experience.
- Training for or previous experience with closing duties and closing up a restaurant.
- Experience with executing operational changes.
- Understanding and certification required for PLCB and serve safe compliance.
- Familiar with table touching and obtaining guest feedback.
- Strong Microsoft office suite skills.
- Experience with reporting from POS systems.
- Understanding of vendor relations.
- Able to foster growth with employees and help cultivate their ongoing education.
Job Duties (not limited to but including) :
- Assisting in all aspects of floor operations and sales, running drinks and food, helping maintain a properly stocked floor, and aiding with menu related questions from co-workers.
- Training new hires and helping them integrate into Gaucho’s daily operations. Following standard procedures relating to POS usage, health and safety violations, guest interaction and sales tactics.
- Keeping a trained eye out for discontent guests or operational mishaps and hazards, observing overall execution of service in the building.
- Execute comps, voids or discounts for staff and customers to ensure a positive guest experience.
- Table touch and provide a positive interaction with guests, while procuring feedback and perspective from customers that can be used for further growth in our guest’s experiences.
- Maintaining and placing inventory orders for FOH pars and bar inventory.
- Updating online menus and physical print menus for the building based off changes received while following the templated guidelines.
- Maintaining communication with management via EON reporting as well as consistently providing reporting, not limited to but including product mix reports, labor reports, sales reports and CVD reports.
- Counting down bar drawers, receiving servers closing cash due and putting together EON numbers as well as the deposits, paperwork and tips for pooling.
- Verifying completion of EON checklists for FOH staff in the building.
- Finalizing any closing duties required for the building and locking up.
