Pay/Compensation: $222,000 – $229,000 per year

A leading regional healthcare provider known for patient-centric care is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager for its operating room. This leader supports daily surgical operations, staff development, and patient safety alongside the department manager. You keep the surgical schedule moving, support staff through busy days, and hold the team to high standards for safety and sterile technique. Core Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operating room operations, staffing, and case flow
• Supervise and support perioperative nurses and surgical technicians
• Ensure compliance with sterile technique, safety, and regulatory standards
• Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesia, and sterile processing on scheduling needs
• Address staff and patient concerns and escalate issues appropriately
• Support hiring, orientation, competency validation, and performance reviews
• Lead quality improvement projects and track department performance metrics

Required Qualifications

• Active California Registered Nurse license
• Solid operating room nursing experience in an acute care hospital
• Prior charge nurse or formal leadership experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Strong communication, organization, and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to work onsite with flexible leadership coverage

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• CNOR certification
• Experience in a large, high-volume surgical department
• Experience with union-represented staff
• Epic electronic health record experience
