Our department has a dynamic, collaborative faculty with research expertise in cardiovascular development and disease. Ideal candidates will have scientific interests that synergize with current department research activities while broadening our existing strengths and bringing new scientific approaches to the department.South Carolina is an NIH IDeA state which could provide applicants the opportunity to participate in multi-investigator/institutional grants at USC such as NIH Centers of Biomedical Research Excellence (COBREs), the Center for Clinical and Translational Research (an NIH CTR-D), and the SC IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence (SC INBRE) programs. Minimum and Additional Requirements

Required Education and ExperienceApplicants must hold a Ph.D., M.D., or M.D./Ph.D. with postdoctoral experience. The successful candidate will be expected to establish and maintain an independent, externally funded research program.

Preferred QualificationsThe preferred candidate will have appropriate postdoctoral experience and clear potential to establish an extramurally funded research program in cardiovascular development or disease related areas.
