Summary of Job Duties:

The Assistant Professor (Clinical Psychologist) provides comprehensive psychological assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment for patients while serving as faculty within the Department of Psychiatry, Division of Psychology. Clinical specialty areas include treatment of posttraumatic stress disorder as well as substance use disorders (SUDs), along with other high-frequency mental health disorders, including depression.


Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited program.

  • Completed an APA-accredited clinical psychology internship.

  • Enrolled in or have completed a psychology post-doctoral fellowship with appropriate clinical experiences.

  • Candidates must be eligible for licensure in the state of Arkansas as defined by the Arkansas State Board of Examiners.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive clinical psychological services within the Walker Family Clinic, including diagnostic evaluations, psychological assessments, and evidence-based treatment for patients across the lifespan.

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based therapeutic interventions to address a variety of behavioral health conditions.

  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, primary care providers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver integrated, patient-centered behavioral health services.

  • Improve patient access to behavioral health care by providing timely, high-quality outpatient psychological services.
