University of New Haven is home to one of the oldest and well-respected forensic science programs in the United States. Our graduates can be located in forensic science laboratories throughout the US and abroad. We have newly renovated lab space as well as the recent addition of a high-tech Henry Lee Institute of Forensic Science facility. Modern equipment, including various DNA analysis platforms, SEM, XRD, Raman Spectroscopy, GC/MS, LEEDS comparison microscopy, etc. are available for teaching and research.
The Department of Forensic Science at the University of New Haven invites applications for a Non-Tenure-Track (NTT) faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor of Practice. The successful candidate will be required to teach both undergraduate and graduate-level courses in forensic science, forensic scene investigation, and related topics. We are seeking a dedicated professional with a strong background in practical forensic scene investigation and reconstruction, active professional certifications, including IAI, POST, or other relevant certifications, and a commitment to excellence in university-level teaching and student mentorship. Special consideration will be given to candidates with proficiency in specialized documentation tools and software.

The successful candidate will be responsible for curriculum development and modification of existing and new core curriculum and electives, including laboratory-designated courses. The successful candidate will also be responsible for academic and career advising for undergraduate forensic science students. The successful candidate may supervise graduate/undergraduate research, Capstone, or thesis projects involving applied forensic techniques and technologies.
