- This position will work onsite the Grand Forks, ND campus.
Purpose of Position
The Department of Physical Therapy is seeking a faculty member to teach in the areas of neurologic, geriatric, general physical therapy, and other duties dependent of departmental need.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Teaching in the areas of neurologic, geriatric, general physical therapy, and other areas of departmental need.
- Well-defined, ongoing scholarly agenda and dissemination.
- Service to the department, school, university, and profession.
- Advising graduate and undergraduate students.
Required Competencies
- Possess appropriate academic and experiential qualifications.
- Obtain and hold appropriate state licensure for professional practice.
- Maintain a high level of professional ethics as outlined by APTA and the University.
- Have strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
Minimum Requirements
- Academic doctorate or earned DPT with a commitment to pursue academic doctorate appropriate for teaching responsibilities and scholarly activity.
- Advanced training with contemporary expertise and clinical experience in neurologic, geriatric, or generalist physical therapy practice.
- Current PT license; eligible for ND license.
- 3 years'' clinical experience.
- Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check.

Preferred Qualifications
- An academic doctorate in a field appropriate for teaching responsibilities.
- A Board-Certified Clinical Specialist from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties or advanced certification.
- Classroom teaching experience.
- Experience in clinical research or scholarly activity.
- Membership and involvement in professional associations
