Assistant Project Manager - Construction - Greenwich
Our client is a premier luxury home builder specializing in ground-up custom homes, estate residences, and architect-driven residential projects throughout Connecticut. Their portfolio includes waterfront estates, custom dream homes, and multi-million-dollar residences featuring exceptional craftsmanship, custom millwork, and high-end finishes.
As an Assistant Project Manager - Construction - Greenwich, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting Project Managers throughout all phases of custom home construction
- Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and project cost tracking
- Managing RFIs, submittals, and change order logs
- Coordinating architects, designers, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors
- Assisting with procurement and contract administration
- Maintaining project schedules and milestone updates
- Tracking project documentation and reporting requirements
- Supporting field teams and Superintendents with project coordination
- Assisting with custom millwork, cabinetry, stone, and specialty finish packages
- Participating in homeowner and project team meetings
- Reviewing architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documents
- Monitoring project progress and assisting with issue resolution
- Supporting project closeout and turnover activities
The successful candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred
- 2-5 years of experience in Project Engineering, Project Coordination, or Assistant Project Management
- Experience with custom home construction, luxury residential projects, or high-end residential construction
- Understanding of residential construction from preconstruction through completion
- Knowledge of RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project controls
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and construction drawings
- Exposure to custom millwork, luxury finishes, cabinetry, stonework, and specialty materials
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, or similar construction software
- Strong attention to detail and desire to build a career in luxury residential construction
