Assistant Project Manager

Our client is a well-established Manhattan, NY General Contractor specializing in high-end residential construction for high-net-worth individuals. Their portfolio includes luxury townhomes, brownstones, penthouses, and single-unit apartment/co-op renovations, with projects requiring a high level of craftsmanship, coordination, and attention to detail. The company has built a strong reputation within the NYC luxury residential market and works closely with leading architects, designers, and trade partners.
Job Description
As Assistant Project Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
- Assist the Project Manager with the day-to-day management of high-end residential projects
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, architects, designers, and consultants
- Review drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and change orders
- Track project schedules, budgets, procurement, and material deliveries
- Assist with project documentation, meeting minutes, and progress reporting
- Participate in project meetings and maintain strong communication with all stakeholders
- Conduct site visits and work closely with the Superintendent to ensure project progress
- Help identify and resolve project issues before they impact schedule or budget
- Utilize Procore and other construction management software to maintain project documentation

The Successful Applicant
A successful Assistant Project Manager should have:
- 2+ years of construction experience, preferably with a General Contractor
- High-end residential interior renovation experience is strongly preferred
- Experience with townhomes, brownstones, penthouses, apartments, or luxury co-op renovations
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Procore experience is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred but not required
