Job Description

Assist Project Managers with the day-to-day management of commercial interior construction projects. Support project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control activities. Review and track submittals, RFIs, change orders, and procurement logs. Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, architects, and ownership teams. Attend project meetings and maintain accurate meeting minutes and documentation. Monitor project schedules to ensure milestones and deadlines are achieved. Assist with contract administration and project closeout procedures. Conduct site visits to track progress, identify issues, and ensure quality standards are maintained. Help manage project financials, including buyouts, forecasting, and invoicing.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Assistant Project Manager should have: 2-5+ years of experience in construction project management or project engineering. Experience working on commercial interior projects including office, retail, restaurant, hospitality, or corporate fit-outs. Strong understanding of construction documents, RFIs, submittals, and change orders. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office Suite is highly desirable. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced New York construction environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Eagerness to learn and progress into a Project Manager role.
