We're seeking a highly organized and motivated Assistant Project Manager to support the planning, execution, and delivery of commercial and residential real estate development projects throughout Middlesex County, New Jersey. This role will work closely with senior leadership, consultants, contractors, and municipal agencies to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Description
Project Coordination & Execution
- Assist Project Managers and Development Executives in overseeing projects from acquisition through construction completion and turnover.
- Coordinate project schedules, milestones, and deliverables to ensure timely execution.
- Track project progress and provide regular status updates to leadership.
- Maintain project documentation, contracts, permits, and development files.
Financial & Budget Management
- Support budget preparation, cost tracking, and forecasting activities.
- Review contractor invoices, change orders, and payment applications for accuracy.
- Monitor project expenditures and assist with maintaining budget compliance.
- Prepare financial reports and project summaries for management review.
Construction & Development Support
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Participate in project meetings and prepare meeting agendas and minutes.
- Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and identify potential issues.
- Assist with resolving project challenges related to scheduling, permitting, and construction activities.
Entitlements & Regulatory Compliance
- Assist with municipal approvals, zoning applications, permits, and inspections.
- Coordinate submissions and communications with local municipalities and regulatory agencies.
- Ensure project files remain compliant with applicable building codes and regulations.
Stakeholder Communication
- Serve as a liaison between internal teams and external project partners.
- Foster strong relationships with contractors, consultants, vendors, and local officials.
- Communicate project updates, risks, and opportunities to management.

Profile
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Real Estate Development, Business, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in project management, construction management, real estate development, or related industries.
- Understanding of construction processes, project scheduling, and budgeting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Project.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on commercial, mixed-use, multifamily, or residential development projects.
- Familiarity with New Jersey permitting, zoning, and development processes.
- Experience with project management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Smartsheet, or similar platforms.
- OSHA certification or construction-related certifications are a plus.
