ASSISTANT PROMO PLANNER

Work closely with the department promo planner, as well as the Category Management and division Promo Planning teams to understand strategic priorities and assist in preparing market-specific sales/promo plans accordingly. - Any category management experience
- 2+ years of merchandising, store leadership or operations experience at a division or corporate level
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills

- Bachelor's Degree- Interface with category managers and department promo planner to understand priorities
- Create a promotional plan for a specific division(s) based upon market share, budget requirements, division specifics, and any key department Initiatives
- Identify gaps for specific divisions, communicate the opportunities and make recommendations to the promo planner and coordinate any necessary changes to the promotional plans
- Create and maintain enterprise pre-plan document for all divisions based upon communicated schematics from Meat Promo Planning lead; update period schematics throughout the period when changes are made from marketing; communicate changes to the entire department
- Provide weekly financial forecasts to leadership by utilizing both Dodeca and the Classified tool to see upcoming sales and rate performance within the department
- Evaluate the Dodeca Projections and make course corrections to the promotional plans to get the desired results that meet or exceed the budget for the period
- Compile and communicate upcoming promotions for seasonal low items and fresh seasonal
- Coordinate with the Meat/Seafood team on Digital Coupons and submit/approve all HDOs
- Load NEXT for front page Mock-Up meetings
- Compile and input promotional information in the Daily Fresh News for the divisions
- Review upcoming promotional rollers (i.e., package, Fresh and Seafood) to verify they meet our sales and rate budget for the period
- Coordinate any revisions needed to promotional rollers with the category/commodity managers so adjusted financials can be inputted into Dodeca
- Provide coverage for both the Executive Ad Review and Enterprise Promo-Planning Meetings when Meat Promo-Planning lead is on vacation
- Coordinate 84.51 analysis on promotions with the Promo team
- Review pre and post execution promotional cost analysis to insure correct cost of promotional product
- Provide vacation coverage for the division promo planning team, including providing guidance to Category Management team in division-specific planning process and adjustments to plans, preparing division sales plans, and reviewing ads for respective divisions to ensure accuracy
