Position Overview

The Supplier Quality Assistant Manager supports supplier quality performance and leads efforts to identify, resolve, and prevent material and product quality issues. This position works closely with suppliers, manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to maintain product standards, improve processes, and ensure timely corrective action.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead supplier quality activities, including incoming quality, supplier performance, and corrective actions.
• Review quality data and identify trends, recurring issues, and opportunities for improvement.
• Coordinate supplier investigations and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
• Support supplier part approvals, inspections, sample reviews, and change management activities.
• Monitor quality metrics, warranty concerns, customer issues, and cost-of-quality information.
• Partner with manufacturing and engineering teams to resolve issues involving materials, tooling, processes, and product specifications.
• Support customer complaint investigations, containment, salvage, and field-return activities.
• Develop and maintain quality processes and controls that promote prevention rather than inspection.
• Support quality system audits and ensure applicable quality and environmental requirements are followed.
• Help manage departmental resources, priorities, budgets, and performance objectives.
• Lead, coach, and develop team members while promoting accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Communicate quality concerns and business-impacting issues to management in a timely manner.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
