Summary of position:

As Assistant Superintendent in our affordable housing division, you'll support the execution of construction projects. Work closely with the Project Superintendent and team to ensure timely, budget-conscious, and high-quality project completion. This role provides an opportunity to impact communities by delivering affordable housing.

Key responsibilities:

• Collaborate and Coordinate: Assist in developing construction plans and schedules, working with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure smooth execution.
• Site Management: Oversee site operations, ensuring subcontractors and workers adhere to safety and quality standards.
• Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures and conduct inspections to meet specifications and standards.
• Resource Management: Handle procurement, delivery of materials, and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Financial Oversight: Track expenditures and assist in financial reporting to maintain budget control.
• Communication: Facilitate clear team communication and prepare regular progress reports.
• Problem Solving: Support timely resolution of construction issues with strategic decision-making.
• Compliance: Ensure adherence to building codes, permits, and regulations while maintaining documentation.
• Community Engagement: Work with local authorities and community groups to address concerns and highlight housing benefits.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in Multifamily construction, preferably in affordable housing.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
