Assistant Superintendent

As an Assistant Superintendent, you will play a crucial role in leading and coordinating our team on-site, ensuring that multiple construction activities run smoothly and efficiently. Working directly under the project Superintendent, you will be instrumental in scheduling and managing the workforce, fostering a collaborative environment that drives success. You will collaborate with industry experts and committed teams to drive productivity and maintaining high safety standards on site.

 

You will be joining our $4.6B SR 400 Express Lanes project in Atlanta—one of the largest roadway projects in the United States—delivered through a public-private partnership led by FlatironDragados and Acciona. This landmark infrastructure project includes the design, construction, long-term operation, and maintenance of the corridor for 50 years, transforming a critical route and supporting mobility in one of the nation’s fastest-growing regions.

 

 

What you will be doing:

• Supervise assigned project work and labor personnel to meet daily schedule.
• Plan work methods, materials, equipment needs and work schedule for assigned project work
• Review daily work schedule with direct reports and updates weekly schedule from project feedback.
• Complete company required or regulatory documents such as DRA, JHA, Weekly Jobsite Inspection sheet, timesheets, etc.
• Review and understand the project specifications to support job set up activities.
• Work with crews and local utility companies to identify hazardous areas on job site.
• Coordinate with internal equipment team to ensure that project work is equipped with appropriate equipment and material quantities to complete production.
• Forecast the work schedule to identify possible issues and provides technical or scheduling recommendations to mitigate production issues.
• Support and promote strict adherence to safety and process controls regarding operating equipment, worksite safety and documentation requirements. 
• Supervise sub-contractor production and workforce regarding assigned project work. 

What we are looking for:

• 3+ years’ experience managing construction activities and labor staff.
• 3+ years’ of heavy civil construction experience, with a focus on one or more of the following areas, is highly preferred: bridges, structures, or walls.
• Advanced knowledge of tool and equipment safety.
• Knowledge of construction methods and safety requirements on a project site.
• Organization and document control skills.

Salary Min: USD $95,000.00/Yr. Salary Max: USD $120,000.00/Yr.
