Assistant Superintendent - Commercial

Our client is an established commercial general contractor recognized for quality, innovation, and long-term employee retention. Their project portfolio includes complex commercial developments that provide excellent learning opportunities for emerging field leaders. Assistant Superintendents work alongside experienced mentors while gaining hands-on responsibility in scheduling, safety, subcontractor coordination, and project execution. Candidates must have at least 1 year of experience supporting complex commercial projects with a general contractor.
The Assistant Superintendent - Commercial will:
- Supervise daily on-site construction activities to ensure project timelines are met.
- Coordinate and oversee subcontractors and trades to ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Monitor and enforce safety protocols and compliance on the job site.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and team members.
- Assist in maintaining project documentation and reporting progress to stakeholders.
- Resolve on-site issues and adapt plans as necessary to meet project goals.
- Ensure materials and equipment are available to avoid project delays.
- Support the Superintendent in delivering projects within scope and budget.

A successful Assistant Superintendent - Commercial should have:
- Experience with on-site building and construction management in the business services industry.
- Knowledge of construction safety protocols and regulations.

- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a busy environment.
- Familiarity with project documentation and reporting processes.
