The Assistant Superintendent will play an important role in the field execution of projects, supporting the Superintendent and project team in maintaining a safe, organized, high-quality jobsite while gaining exposure to the full development and construction lifecycle.

Job Details

2+ years of experience in commercial, multifamily, residential, or other relevant construction environments; internships or co-op experience may be considered for highly qualified candidates.

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

Understanding of commercial construction processes, sequencing, scheduling, and field operations.

Ability to assist with the coordination and oversight of subcontractors, vendors, and onsite activities.

Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation.

Ability to assist with quality control and ensure work is being completed in accordance with plans, specifications, and established standards.

Familiarity with construction safety practices and a commitment to maintaining a safe jobsite.

Ability to track project progress and communicate field conditions, schedule concerns, material needs, and potential issues to the project team.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced construction environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with subcontractors, field personnel, project managers, consultants, and internal stakeholders.

Proactive problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify potential issues before they become larger project challenges.

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.

Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, MEP, and other construction documents.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with construction management/project management software.

Ability and willingness to work primarily onsite and travel to project locations as required.

Demonstrated professionalism, accountability, and a desire to grow within the construction industry.
