About us:

Alamo NEX Construction, LLC is a part of the Ferrovial Group in Texas. In 2021, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) selected Alamo NEX Construction, LLC, a joint venture between Ferrovial Construction Texas, LLC and DBW, LLC (both Ferrovial Group subsidiaries), to complete the Interstate 35 (I-35) NEX Central Project. This project is a $1.5 billion Texas Design-Build (DB) project through the cities of San Antonio, Live Oak, Selma, and Schertz that will consist of non-tolled improvements along I-35, I-140, and Loop 1604. The proposed improvements will include the addition of elevated managed lanes to I-35, addition of 4 connector bridges at the I-35/I-410 North interchange, addition of 4 connector bridges at the I-35/Loop 1604 interchange, and widening of Loop 1604 in Bexar and Guadalupe Counties.

Job Description:

• Policies, Guidelines and Protocols: Ensure safety protocols are followed on-site, conducting safety briefings, enforcing PPE usage, and addressing any safety concerns. Support the Superintendent in maintaining a safe working environment for all personnel.
• Site Supervision: Assist the Superintendent in supervising daily construction activities, ensuring that tasks are completed according to project plans and safety regulations. Provide direct oversight of specific crews or areas as needed.
• Resource Coordination: Help manage the allocation of tools, equipment, and labor, ensuring resources are available when needed. Identify any shortages or logistical issues and coordinate with the Superintendent to resolve them promptly.
• Subcontractor Coordination: Work with subcontractors to confirm that their tasks are completed on time and meet project specifications. Monitor their performance and report any issues or delays to the Superintendent.
• Work Planning Oversight: Assist in the work planning process by forecasting upcoming equipment needs, scheduling personnel, managing road closures, and ensuring work-in-progress updates are communicated effectively.
• Insights & Reporting: Provide updates to the Superintendent on site progress, identifying any potential delays or challenges. Keep accurate records of daily activities, including material usage, workforce deployment, and incidents.
• Documentation: Assist in maintaining and organizing site documentation, including daily logs, safety reports, and incident records. Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and submitted on time.
• Capability Building: Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation where relevant to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
• Relationship Management: Address all Know Your Client (KYC) inquiries in a timely manner. Help manage internal client relationships by carrying out simple procedural tasks.
• Leadership and Direction: Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill. Provide direction to field and subcontractor personnel to meet schedule and production goals.
