Oconto High School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Track Coach to support our high school track and field program. This role will work closely with the head coach to develop student-athletes, foster a positive team culture, and contribute to the program''s overall success.
Responsibilities:
Assist the head coach in planning and conducting practices, meets, and training sessions.
Provide instruction in various track and field events.
Motivate and mentor student-athletes to develop their skills, sportsmanship, and personal growth.
Ensure a safe and supportive environment for all athletes.
Support athletes in setting and achieving their performance goals.
Monitor and enforce team rules, academic standards, and school policies.
Travel with the team to competitions and assist in meet-day logistics.
Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and school administration.
