Promotes environment for a shared voice in nursing practice and exchange of ideas to continually improve nursing and patient care outcomes. Accountable for the quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness of patient care. Consults and collaborates with other health care professionals to coordinate the management of patient care. Serves as a resource to staff, physicians, students and others.
Supervises staff involved in providing clinical patient care. Assists in ensuring the quality of patient care delivery in a specific patient care area and serves as a role model for professional nursing practice. Assists with the administration and management of personnel, fiscal, and material resources including payroll and scheduling.
Manages nursing and administrative operations of both BCH San Francisco and Oakland Pediatric Acute Care Resource Teams, Critical Care Resource teams and Pediatric Staffing Office across the health enterprise. This role will work with all teams to identify additional opportunities for Resource Team utilization. Important partners include Nurse Leadership in all areas. This role will support continued staffing expansion in areas such as the Pedi Cardiac PACU, PACU, ED and WBN at Mission Bay. Implements changes to patient workflows and operational processes. May assume full responsibility for the unit in delegated areas and in the absence of the manager. Provides direct supervision typically to professionals or skilled technical employees.
The Cross Bay Pediatric Resource Team 873030 is now budgeted to cover 3 fixed Management FTE, 1 Staffing Office Manager FTE, 4.2 fixed FTE for the staffing office employees and the non productive and indirect productive of the Employees in the cost center. The Direct Productive Hours are charged to the units they are floated to on a shift basis to perform patient care.
