Job Description:
This individual will lead the project team in the execution of Whiting-Turner's Virtual Building program and promote VDC adoption within the central Pennsylvania region. They will be tasked with leveraging BIM and other emerging technologies for digital delivery.
Qualified Candidates should:
Be proficient in reading and understanding construction drawings and interpreting construction schedules.
Have an intermediate knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection systems, with a focus on Electrical knowledge.
Be adept in coordination management software used to aggregate BIMs and run conflict detection.
Thrive in a team environment contributing to both large projects and producing independent work.
Have an innately curious, forward-thinking personality to push innovative ideas in all aspects of daily tasks.
Be able to multi-task and work concurrently on multiple projects.
Be able to serve the central Pennsylvania region.
Typical Daily tasks include:
Generating and tracking RFIs resulting from the Virtual Build Process
Developing composite drawings to supplement shop drawings as required by contract
Testing new software programs and technologies and making recommendations on use for project-specific needs
Software Proficiency required:
Excellent General Computing Skills
Advanced knowledge of Autodesk products including but not limited to:
a. Revit
b. AutoCAD
c. Navisworks Manage
Experience with cloud-based common data environments and issue tracking plug-ins such as Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM Collaborate and Revizto.
Experience with 4D Scheduling Tools (Synchro, Fuzor preferred)

Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree with preference given to Architectural, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management related degrees or Associate degrees in a VDC/BIM technical concentration
3-5 years of relevant work experience in the AEC industry in a BIM Management role or 3-5 years of relevant field experience in construction
Previous experience working with Electrical systems and Mission Critical work is preferred
