A well-established California law firm is seeking an experienced Employment Attorney to join its growing team in Concord, CA. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to take on a diverse range of employment matters while working closely with experienced attorneys and clients. The ideal candidate will have strong employment law and litigation experience, excellent writing and analytical skills, and the ability to manage matters independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment. This position offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated employment matters, develop strong client relationships, and continue building a long-term career with a respected California firm.

Position Responsibilities

• Represent public entities in employment and civil litigation matters
• Handle cases from inception through resolution, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motions, mediation, and trial preparation
• Draft and argue motions, including motions for summary judgment
• Develop strategic defenses and identify opportunities for early resolution
• Advise public entity clients on employment claims, litigation exposure, and risk
• Work closely with experienced trial attorneys on matters in state and federal courts

Qualifications

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school preferred
• Active California Bar admission
• 2+ years of employment law experience preferred
• Strong research, writing, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to independently manage cases and meet deadlines
• Litigation experience strongly preferred
