Associate Attorney – Litigation & Transactional

Chicago Area | Remote, Hybrid, or In-Office

We are a nationally recognized law firm looking to add to our growing team. We are seeking attorneys with approximately 3–6+ years of experience and are open to candidates coming from a variety of litigation, transactional, corporate, or business law backgrounds.

You do not need to be a franchise attorney to be considered.

Our practice is national in scope and gives attorneys the opportunity to work on sophisticated matters for established companies, growing businesses, entrepreneurs, and other business clients throughout the country.

The Role

This is not a narrowly defined position. Depending on your experience and strengths, your work may involve a combination of:

• Commercial and business litigation
• Arbitration and dispute resolution
• Pre-litigation matters
• Corporate and transactional work
• Mergers and acquisitions
• Contract drafting and negotiation
• Business agreements and transactions
• Franchise-related matters
• Advising businesses on a variety of legal and strategic issues

Attorneys with experience spanning both litigation and transactional matters are particularly attractive, but a strong background primarily in one area will absolutely be considered.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for an attorney who has developed a solid foundation in private practice and is ready to take on meaningful responsibility.

• Approximately 3–6 years of attorney experience
• Litigation and/or transactional experience
• Strong legal research, writing, and drafting skills
• The ability to manage assignments and deadlines independently
• An interest in working with businesses and developing a broader practice
• Active and in-good-standing state bar admission

We are open to remote, hybrid, and in-office arrangements, depending on the attorney and circumstances. Candidates are not required to work from the office on a full-time basis.

We believe experienced attorneys should be trusted to manage their responsibilities and their time. We are not interested in unnecessarily micromanaging where or how someone works.

Compensation & Work Environment

• $140,000–$160,000 base salary, depending on experience
• Bonus opportunities
• Attorneys generally average approximately 1,400–1,600 billable hours
• Flexible approach to PTO
• Remote, hybrid, and in-office options
