    Position: Associate Attorney - Entry Level (Attorney I)

    Employment Type: Full-Time

    Location: Century City, Los Angeles, California

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    \n

    Written Discovery

    \n

    • Drafting written discovery, review responses and document productions, participating in ediscovery review of documents

    \n

    • Drafting written discovery responses to written requests served on our consumer clients

    \n

    Law & Motion Work

    \n

    • Drafting motions related to written discovery disputes

    \n

    • Drafting responses to pleading challenges

    \n

    • Preparing for and participating in oral arguments in various courtrooms relating to discovery

    \n

    disputes, pleading challenges, case management conferences, and ex parte requests

    \n

    Depositions

    \n

    • Attending and defending consumer client depositions

    \n

    • Taking percipient witness depositions

    \n

    Vehicle Inspections

    \n

    • Attending vehicle inspections with expert witnesses

    \n

    Other Responsibilities

    \n

    • Assume responsibility for timely reporting and billing for hours worked

    \n

    • Further opportunities for a stellar candidate to quickly grow into assisting with dispositive

    \n

    motions, higher-stakes depositions, and trial preparation work

    \n

    • Assist in other tasks as assigned by the Partners

    \n


    \n

    Qualifications & Skills:

    \n

    • J.D. from an ABA accredited law school

    \n

    • Member in good standing of the California Bar

    \n

    • At least six (6) months of experience as a California licensed attorney, ideally with some

    \n

    litigation experience (Lemon Law not required)

    \n

    • Genuine interest in consumer protection and representation

    \n

    • Hunger for professional growth, with a “no job is too big or too small” mentality

    \n

    • Collaborative and willing to operate in a team-oriented environment

    \n

    • Bilingual Spanish is preferred, but not required

    \n

    • Proficient in MS Office, Westlaw, and Outlook

    \n

    • Skilled and decisive problem-solver with the ability to unravel complex issues

    \n

    • Excellent written and oral communication skills

    \n

    • Excellent organizational skills and ability to track and comply with deadlines in a busy and

    \n

    fast-paced environment

    \n

    • Willing to learn and apply technology solutions and work in a paperless environment

    \n

    • Willing to travel within California as needed for court appearances, vehicle inspections, and

    \n

    depositions

    \n

    • Ability to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds

    \n
