    Description

    Responsibilities:
    • Experience (or willingness to learn) in general legal practice with a special focus on corporate, transactional, litigation, and real estate law. Knowledge of immigration law a plus.
    • Researching and analyzing the law on complex issues and writing a brief for submission to a supervising attorney, or for submission to a 3rd party like client, court, mediator, or arbitrator as needed.
    • Appearing in court, arbitration, or other judicial tribunal on behalf of the firm’s client and presenting well-reasoned arguments to the judicial body.
    • Analyzing, reviewing and summarizing complicated legal documents.
    • Negotiating with outside parties on contractual issues and legal disputes including settlement conferences.
    • Anticipating and mitigating potential legal issues or concerns and developing strategies to avoid costly litigation and reduce risk exposure.
    • Performing due diligence in legal matters concerning contracts, agreements, mergers, and acquisitions.
    • Additional responsibilities, as directed by leadership.
     
    Qualifications:
    • Experience: 0-2 years as a practicing attorney.
    • Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas.
    • Graduate of an accredited law school.
    • Organized and able to prioritize and plan efficiently and independently.
    • Flexible and adaptable.
    • Strong project management and multitasking skills.
    • Commitment to continuous learning.
