Description
Responsibilities:
Experience (or willingness to learn) in general legal practice with a special focus on corporate, transactional, litigation, and real estate law. Knowledge of immigration law a plus.
Researching and analyzing the law on complex issues and writing a brief for submission to a supervising attorney, or for submission to a 3rd party like client, court, mediator, or arbitrator as needed.
Appearing in court, arbitration, or other judicial tribunal on behalf of the firm’s client and presenting well-reasoned arguments to the judicial body.
Analyzing, reviewing and summarizing complicated legal documents.
Negotiating with outside parties on contractual issues and legal disputes including settlement conferences.
Anticipating and mitigating potential legal issues or concerns and developing strategies to avoid costly litigation and reduce risk exposure.
Performing due diligence in legal matters concerning contracts, agreements, mergers, and acquisitions.
Additional responsibilities, as directed by leadership.
Qualifications:
Experience: 0-2 years as a practicing attorney.
Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas.
Graduate of an accredited law school.
Organized and able to prioritize and plan efficiently and independently.
Flexible and adaptable.
Strong project management and multitasking skills.
