Associate Buyer

Eaton's ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Associate Buyer. This position is based at our Arden, NC location.

The hourly rate for this position is $25.00 per hour.

What you'll do:

• Manage open POs through confirmations for deliveries, updating ERPs and managing orders through delivery
• Develop and maintain relationships within the Supply Chain Organization and Supplier Base
• Day to day communication with various stakeholders like planners, operations, and suppliers
• Working Knowledge of ERP
• Timely resolution of 'On Hold' invoices for the various sites working closely with site, suppliers, IM team
• Participate and lead supplier negotiations
• Initiate and execute projects to achieve Cost Out/Savings and Productivity Targets
• Work with Senior Buyer in identifying sourcing issues
• Work with Senior Buyer to optimize inventory investment
• Work with Senior Buyer in supply chain interactions and projects
• Processing plant wide request for purchase and obtain quotes from suppliers as needed.
• Fully support the strategy of the Senior Buyer and assist in the execution of the strategy
• Assist in vendor meetings, QBRs, and other interactions with vendors
• Updating and maintaining the Eaton supplier tooling database
• Coordination with Suppliers for quote projects due to the increased outsourcing efforts

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• Two-Year Degree or 5 Years of Experience in Supply Chain
• Demonstrated ability to work either independently or in teams across plant and corporate entities
• Sound working knowledge of Purchasing/Materials
• "Intermediate-level" training in Excel, PowerPoint and Teams software or equivalent experience

Position Criteria:

• Previous experience in Materials, Planning, or Purchasing
• Previous experience with AS400/ and Infor
• Must have appropriate written and oral communication skills
• Strong Organization skills
