Associate Civil Engineering Technician – Solar | On-Site | U.S.
BlueDot Staff Recruiting is partnering with one of the largest energy companies in the United States to hire an Associate Civil Engineering Technician – Solar to support civil design activities for renewable energy projects. We are looking for detail-oriented professionals with relevant technical experience and proficiency in civil engineering design software who are interested in contributing to solar energy projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Support civil design activities for solar and other renewable energy projects;
- Assist with the development and revision of site layouts, grading plans, and utility drawings;
- Coordinate design revisions with engineers and other design team members;
- Maintain and update technical documentation and engineering drawings;
- Utilize civil engineering design software to support project deliverables;
- Help ensure design documentation meets project requirements and technical specifications.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of relevant professional experience;
- A relevant technical diploma or certificate;
- Proficiency in Civil 3D;
- Ability to support civil design and drafting activities;
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills;
- Ability to work on-site at an eligible office location.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology or a related field;
- Experience with PVcase and PVFarm;
- Experience supporting solar energy, renewable energy, or other engineering projects;
- Familiarity with site layouts, grading plans, utility drawings, and design coordination.
Work Arrangement and Location
- Work arrangement: On-site;
- Schedule: 40 hours per week;
- Duration: Approximately six months;
- Location requirement: Candidates must reside within 50 miles of one of the following eligible offices:
- Overland Park, Kansas;
- Denver, Colorado;
- Houston, Texas;
- Phoenix, Arizona;
- Tualatin, Oregon.
- Openings: One position for each office;
- Employment arrangement: Contract through an employer of record, with potential conversion to permanent employment. Conversion is not guaranteed.
Benefits
Contractors working 30 or more hours per week may enroll in benefits through the employer of record. Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage is available for the employee and spouse. Premiums are paid by contractors through pre-tax payroll deductions.
