Associate Designer

At Terra Nova Builds, youll help bring residential remodeling projects to life, working alongside designers, builders, and clients from the first design concepts through the final details.

As our Associate Designer, you will assist in preparing drawings and renderings, help clients select finishes and fixtures, research products, coordinate with vendors, and maintain organized project documentation. Youll see how design decisions move from the screen to the finished space, working closely with the production team to balance creativity, practicality, and each clients vision.

• Support residential remodeling projects from concept through completion.
• Prepare design drawings, renderings, specifications, and documentation.
• Help clients select finishes, fixtures, materials, and products.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, trades, and internal teams.
• Research products, request pricing, and order samples.
• Attend client meetings, site visits, and project reviews.
• Prepare design drawings, renderings, specifications, project books, and other documentation to support estimating and construction.
• Participate in client meetings, selections appointments, vendor visits, field measurements, and site verification.
• Maintain accurate project records, schedules, and design files.

• 3+ years of experience in residential design, interior design, architecture, drafting, or a related field preferred.
• Knowledge of residential interior design and space planning.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD required; experience with Chief Architect or similar 3D modeling and rendering software preferred.
• Degree in Design, Drafting, Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field preferred
• Project coordination and time management skills.
• Experience selecting materials, finishes, fixtures, and products.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital project management tools.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for client, vendor, and project site visits.
