Position: Associate Director - State Tax
Reports To: Vice President, Tax

Location: Corporate Headquarters, Wallingford, CT
I. Basic Function
Manage Amphenol's state tax function.
II. Responsibilities and Duties
- File all of Amphenol and subsidiary state tax returns.
- Calculate state tax provision and analyze the state tax liability account.
- Handle state tax audits.
- Optimize utilization of ONESOURCE tax software and Excel.
- Maintain state tax calendar.
- File all necessary extensions and estimated payments.
- Continually strive to reduce the state tax liability through tax planning.
- Assist Vice President, Tax on various projects as assigned.
III. Authority
- Delegate responsibilities as deemed necessary.
- Enter preliminary discussions to resolve tax issues with the state tax authorities.
- Establish tax return filing positions based upon legal authority.
IV. Relationships
- Establish and maintain relationships with various accounting and management personnel at HQ and at worldwide operations.
- Maintain in good standing, Company's relationship with various tax authorities.
V. Qualifications
- Three to five years corporate tax experience with experience in state taxation.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting. An advanced degree (Tax) or CPA certification is a plus.
- Advanced knowledge of personal computers.
- Ability to prioritize tasks.
- Highly organized self-starter requiring minimal supervision.
- Ability to meet deadlines, working overtime when required.
- Superior interpersonal and supervisory skills.
- Superior communication skills, both oral and written.
