Overview:
VTG is seeking an Associate Human Resource Specialist to support our customer in Washington, DC. The Human Resource Specialist will support the development and implementation of enterprise-wide engineering workforce competency initiatives. The HR Specialist will assist a senior team in the creation, standardization, and execution of competency assessment tools and workforce development programs designed to measure and strengthen engineering capability and capacity across a large, multi-organizational enterprise. The ideal candidate will have experience in data collection, data modeling, workforce planning, and HR program implementation.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in devising, developing, and implementing an engineering competency health assessment to measure workforce capability and capacity.
- Support the development of structured methodologies to define, measure, and assess engineering competencies across multiple organizations.
- Collect and analyze workforce data to identify trends, strengths, and skill gaps.
- Assist in developing and maintaining standardized definitions, tools, and processes for evaluating engineering competencies.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of an engineering competency ontology to ensure consistency across the enterprise.
- Help identify, prioritize, and address workforce competency gaps through data-driven insights.
- Support workforce planning initiatives and talent development strategies.
- Assist in rolling out competency tools, training materials, and workforce initiatives.
- Provide administrative and analytical support for program tracking, reporting, and governance.
- Communicate updates and best practices to stakeholders to ensure consistent adoption across the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and experience supporting HR programs, workforce analytics, or competency-based initiatives.
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a large, multi-organization environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Must have and maintain a Secret clearance.
