Tesla's Infrastructure Design team is seeking an Associate Program Manager to drive execution across Engineering, Design Management, Construction, and Infrastructure Design. You will be a key partner in how the team plans, funds, and delivers work - from day-to-day coordination to the rooms where Design, Construction, Finance, and Project Controls makes decisions.
You will own program coordination for design and construction initiatives: relationships, source of truth, cadence, and follow-through. This role demands operational discipline, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to align technical and business priorities across departments. A data engineering or software engineering background is strongly preferred.
- Own program coordination for engineering, design, and construction workstreams - resourcing, schedules, documentation, risks, and overall project health
- Proactively identify risks, stale dates, dependencies, and bottlenecks; escalate with owners and next steps, not just status
- Drive cross-functional working sessions to review priorities, resolve blockers, identify risks, and drive decisions; own forums with stakeholder sessions to improve processes like organizational funding & execution strategies
- Support executive reporting on program health - clear updates on schedule, capacity, risks, and decisions needed - growing into a regular voice in those reviews
- Coordinate vendors and consultants; track commitments, deliverables, and responses
- Champion continuous improvement: refine processes, tools, and collaboration models to increase velocity, cut collection meetings, and raise engineering productivity
- Partner with the Data & Program APM on engineering KPIs, workload visibility, template packs, and schedule/risk flags - collect and chase inputs without duplicating pipeline or dashboard ownership
- Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 0-3 years in program coordination, project administration, data/software engineering, or a similar role supporting design, construction, commercial, or TI projects
- Data engineering or software engineering background (degree, internship, or early-career experience) strongly preferred
- Strong experience with SharePoint and Jira; familiarity with Microsoft Planner or similar
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Visio or similar)
- Familiarity with design and construction in a commercial or tenant-improvement (TI) setting
- Demonstrated tracking and logging mindset; highly organized, adaptable, and a fast learner in an ambiguous environment
- Experience coordinating vendors, consultants, or internal cross-functional partners
- Clear written and verbal communication; able to work with engineering, construction, and operations partners
- Willingness to work on-site in Palo Alto and support extended hours when project needs require it

Expected Compensation
$96,800 - $145,200/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
