Associate / Staff Digital System Engineer

SciTec has an immediate opportunity in our Boulder, CO office for an Associate / Staff Digital System Engineer (MBSE Focus) with experience in modeling requirements, use cases, interfaces, and system architectures using model-based systems engineering tools. This engineer will be responsible for developing system models to support the development of a combined hardware/software data processing system. This work will be performed collaboratively with both customer representatives and with SciTec technical staff. 

Responsibilities 

• Develop digital models of operational concepts and stakeholder needs for the operation of a MOSA architecture hosting high-performance data processing applications. 

• Model and support the analysis of system requirements which address identified stakeholder needs. 

• Deliver digital modeling artifacts which support to SciTec development teams in the development of an integrated hardware/software solution. 

• Deliver digital modeling artifacts which support documentation of the system architecture, requirements, verification status, and development roadmap 

• Additional duties as required and assigned 

Requirements

• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance 
• A Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline. 
• Demonstrated experience in model-based systems engineering using SysML 1.x, either via academic coursework or professional experience. 
• Familiarity with IEEE 15288 systems engineering processes 

Candidates who have any of the following skills will be preferred 

• At least 2 years of relevant work experience in model based systems engineering. 

• Experience with systems modeling using the Cameo family of applications. 

• Prior experience in software engineering, high-performance computing, or remote sensing data processing 

• A current security clearance, ideally a current TOP SECRET clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information 

• Academic credentials or industry certification (e.g. INCOSE) in systems engineering. 

• Experience with the integration of model-based systems engineering tools with other information systems. 

• Experience with developing scripting, integration tools, and domain-specific languages (stereotypes) to enhance systems modeling capabilities. Software development experience is a plus. 

• Experience with the development and use of DoDAAF, UAF, or SysML 2 models. 

• Experience with formal modeling methods other than SysML, such as TLA+. 

• Experience with conducting data-driven trade studies, including the development and use of simulation tools.

The pay range for this position is $88,000 - $124,000 / year. SciTec considers several factors when extending an offer of employment, including but not limited to the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
