Position: Associate Technical Distribution & Transportation

Location: East Hartford CT 06108

Duration: long term contract to hire

Pay Rate: $20.00/hr on w2

Job Responsibilities:

Job Profile Summary:

Responsible for handling the inbound / outbound freight needs of products for the company''s U.S. and international distribution centers, external clients and processors. Handles other freight needs. Strives to minimize overall supply chain costs without compromising quality or reliability of supply. Assists with providing support for inventory management and performance improvement projects. Serves as liaison between central and regional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

"• Gains familiarity with Distribution & Transportation concepts, practices and methodologies.

• With guidance, performs standard Distribution & Transportation duties, including:

o Ensuring the timely flow of goods and materials into the company,

o Coordinating efficient product movement with shipping, receiving, warehousing and other Supply Chain team members,

o Interfacing with program, project and other business users to manage and analyze return and repair issues,

o Performing logistic analysis and preparation of internal and client reports,

o Ensuring accurate inventory counts.

• Builds and develops a high level of trust with carriers, third-party distribution channels and vendors.
• Learns and follows the company's Distribution & Transportation, fulfillment and related standards and procedures.
• Assists with special projects as assigned."

Key Qualifications:

"High School diploma or GED required

Generally, less than 1 years' experience in area of responsibility"
