Job Summary: Associate Test Engineer 2 - Shift 1 (Onsite, Milpitas, CA)

Responsibilities

• Set up, calibrate, and test mechanical assemblies, circuits, and components using blueprints, diagrams, and specialized equipment
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical issues in assemblies and final systems
• Perform mechanical alignments, including climbing/crouching within tools; lift up to 50 lbs as part of daily duties
• Execute rework and repairs based on test results, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with specifications
• Document findings and contribute technical reports with recommendations for solutions
• Assist in the selection, configuration, and maintenance of advanced test equipment
• Commit to a structured training and ramp-up program, building up to advanced troubleshooting responsibilities

Required Skills and Experience

• 2-4 years of hands-on experience with machinery, or recent Mechanical/Electrical Engineering graduates welcome
• Comfortable with physical tasks: alignment, lifting, climbing, crouching
• Strong mechanical aptitude; ability to explain troubleshooting thought processes
• High school diploma with relevant hands-on experience considered
• Willingness to work 50-60 hours per week on assigned day or night shift (cleanroom environment, bunny suit required)
• Proven reliability; stable work history or clear explanations for short assignments

Preferred Skills

• Semiconductor or optics industry experience
• Experience summarizing findings in technical reports
• Familiarity with test equipment setup and calibration
