Associate Veterinarian, 6-Doctor Practice

A progressive six-doctor small animal practice just outside Albany, New York is hiring a full-time Associate Veterinarian.

The hospital sees cats, dogs, rabbits, and pocket pets, with a wide case mix that includes urgent-care-style visits. It's a large, well-equipped facility with a close-knit community-hospital feel and a fast-paced, can-do culture that values mentorship, growth, and work-life balance.

Key Highlights:

• Six-doctor team with a 3-to-1 staff-to-doctor ratio (licensed techs, assistants, and CSRs)
• 35 to 40 hours per week, with a Saturday rotation and at least one weekday off
• Last appointment at 6:30pm, with no expectation to stay late
• 20-minute appointments, plus technician appointments
• Light on-call: phone triage only, no in-clinic emergency coverage
• About 7,200 sq ft with a dual-table surgical suite, new dental suite with digital x-ray, ultrasound, and therapy laser
• Path to partnership

About You:

• DVM or VMD from an accredited school
• Valid New York veterinary license, or eligible
• 3+ years of clinical experience preferred (this role is not open to new graduates)
• Collaborative, flexible, and enthusiastic

• Base salary of $120,000 to $150,000 plus production pay (ProSal)
