Job Description
The responsibilities of an Assistant Project Manager:
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of federal and government construction projects
- Support project teams throughout all phases of construction, from preconstruction through closeout
- Manage project documentation, RFIs, submittals, schedules, and project reporting
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, owners, and internal stakeholders to ensure project success
- Track project budgets, schedules, and key deliverables
- Utilize project management software to maintain accurate project records and reporting
- Support project managers with client communication and project controls
- Ensure compliance with federal, security, and project-specific requirements
- Participate in site visits and project meetings across the DC metro area

The Successful Applicant
A successful Assistant Project Manager should have:
- 2 to 5 years of construction project management experience
- Experience supporting federal, government, or secure facility projects preferred
- SCIF project experience is highly desired
- Experience working on projects valued at approximately $5M or greater
- Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills
- Experience with Procore and/or Primavera P6 preferred
- Ability to work onsite in Columbia, MD and/or Washington, DC project locations
- Must be able to successfully complete an extensive background check
- Ability to provide three professional references
