JOB SUMMARY
This position is dedicated and invested in the success of our athletes. The Athletic Trainer works with medical professionals and coaches to evaluate athletes' condition, establish plans for diet, fitness, and treatment; and tracks progress toward health and fitness goals. Assists athletes, coaches, and families to realize their potential. Possesses a strong understanding of sports related injuries and treatment. Ensures athletes accomplish their health and fitness goals and receive proper training and treatment. This job classification requires a flexible working schedule that includes nights and weekends.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in a related field. Relevant experience to the job requirements. Or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training that provides the required knowledge and abilities.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
CERTIFICATION, LICENSE AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
NATA certification and Georgia Board of Athletic Trainers License. CPR, AED, and First Aid Certification. Possession of a valid driver's license.
Physical Requirements:
Sitting, Standing, lifting and carrying (Up to 50 lbs.), reaching, climbing stairs, squatting, kneeling, and moving equipment/light furniture may be required. A complete list of Physical Demands may be obtained from HR.
Equipment/Material Handled:
Athletic and medical supplies used for prevention and treatment of injuries. Surgical gloves need to be utilized when treating injuries.
