Athletic Trainer

The Athletic Trainer position oversees the healthcare management of assigned sports and serves as the primary point of contact between sports medicine, coaching staff, and student-athletes. The Athletic Trainer collaborates closely with team physicians, strength and conditioning staff, dietitians, and mental health professionals to develop individualized performance and injury prevention programs that optimize student-athlete health and performance. This position is responsible for the prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries and illnesses while ensuring compliance with NCAA, conference, and institutional health and safety standards. The Athletic Trainer also plays a critical role in enhancing the student-athlete experience by fostering a culture of health, safety, and performance excellence while contributing to the advancement of sports medicine services at the institution. The full salary range for the Athletic Trainer is $71,931.60 - $127,994.40 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements.\n \nApplies professional concepts to provide the full range of prevention and rehabilitation of athletic injuries by means of protective and therapeutic wrappings and use of therapeutic modalities, devices, and rehabilitation techniques.Provides intercollegiate and sports club athletes with complex, advanced injury prevention training, and evaluation, management and rehabilitation of athletic injuries.Administers first-aid to athletes. Provides advanced manual therapy skills applicable to orthopedics and sports medicine.May maintain athletic training facilities and equipment, ensuring all athletic equipment is fully operational and athletic training rooms are maintained according to standards.Enforces safety procedures.Responsible for inventory maintenance, including clinical supplies and athletic equipment.Reports injuries, completing appropriate documentation, and maintenance of medical charts.Provides moderate to complex rehabilitation of athletic injuries through the use of various therapeutic exercise programs.Screens and refers injured athletes to athletic team physician or other medical services.Maintains discretion and confidentiality and handles sensitive matters involving athletic injuries and treatment.Works in a collaborative manner and organizes and prioritizes work assignments, conducts analysis relating to programs and operational procedures and develops resulting recommendations.Determine the nature, scope, and/or extent of the injury or illness of student-athletes.
