Athletics Communications Student assistants work during home athletics events and assist the official statistics crew for selected volleyball, soccer, basketball, tennis and baseball games.
Core Duties
- Either serve as official statistics computer inputter or spotter/caller for official statistician.
- Facilitate and check on real-time live statistics being sent to PortlandPilots.com.
- Perform libero/substitution tracking duties at volleyball matches.
- Assist with in-game notes, gathering post-event quotes, running stats to team locker rooms.
- Other relevant duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Proficient computer and word processing skills.
- Knowledge of volleyball, soccer, basketball, tennis and baseball scoring and statistics.
- Must be available to work nights and weekends.
- Must have good interpersonal and communication skills and a desire to work in athletics.
Preferred Qualifications
- Green Dot full training certified or willing to go through the Green Dot training.
