Associate Attorney – Employment Litigation

An established employment litigation practice is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its Los Angeles office. This full-time, onsite opportunity is designed for attorneys who want meaningful litigation experience rather than primarily document review.

Associates handle matters throughout the litigation process while developing courtroom confidence through regular appearances, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation. The position combines significant responsibility with mentorship from experienced trial attorneys.

Responsibilities

• Handle employment law matters from intake through resolution
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and trial documents
• Conduct legal research
• Take and defend depositions
• Appear regularly in court and argue motions
• Communicate with clients regarding case strategy
• Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations
• Assist with trial preparation and serve as second chair at trial when appropriate

Qualifications

• Active California Bar membership
• 1–5 years of civil litigation experience (employment law preferred)
• Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
• Ability to independently manage cases while working collaboratively
• Trial preparation experience is a plus

Compensation

• $150,000–$170,000 annually

Salary Range: $150,000–$170,000
