Practice law without billable hours. Own your cases. Make a meaningful difference in the lives of families.
At Nelson Elder Care Law, we believe great attorneys deserve the opportunity to focus on what they do best: practicing law, advocating for clients, and guiding families through some of life’s most challenging circumstances.
We are seeking a Probate Litigation Attorney who is confident in the courtroom, genuinely enjoys litigation, and takes ownership of contested probate, guardianship, and conservatorship matters. You will develop legal strategy, advocate for clients, and manage matters through resolution with an established legal team behind you.
You don’t need to have every answer on day one. We value attorneys who are curious, resourceful, eager to learn, and willing to ask questions, find solutions, and follow through. We believe autonomy and accountability go hand in hand.
What makes Nelson Elder Care Law different?
No billable hours. Focus on helping clients and moving cases forward without tracking every minute of your day.
Real ownership and courtroom opportunity. Lead litigation strategy, make informed decisions, and represent clients in contested matters.
A team behind you. Work with experienced paralegals and colleagues; no personal book of business is required.
Work that makes a difference. Help families navigate difficult probate, guardianship, and conservatorship disputes.
A culture built on accountability. Our values aren’t just words on a wall. We believe in taking ownership, supporting one another, and doing the right thing for clients and teammates.
Room to grow. Clear performance expectations, regular feedback, and a structured opportunity for salary progression.
Compensation and benefits:
Starting base salary: $135,000–$155,000, depending on experience and qualifications. After each of the first three completed years, attorneys may qualify for a permanent base salary increase of up to $15,000 per year, based on clearly defined annual KPIs and professional standards. Qualifying increases are proportional to the KPI score, up to a maximum cumulative increase of $45,000 over three annual reviews. Increases are performance-dependent and not guaranteed.
Medical, dental, and vision insurance (company pays 50% of premiums); company-paid basic life and disability insurance; 401(k) with company match; PTO and holidays; complimentary estate planning; professional development opportunities; recognition and team celebrations; and a paid trip after five years, subject to program terms.
Why us?
Work that matters. Every case represents a family looking for guidance, protection, and peace of mind during a difficult season. We work hard, support one another, celebrate wins, and genuinely care about clients and teammates. We want attorneys who value both the independence to lead and the responsibility to deliver excellent results.
If you enjoy litigation, believe in taking ownership, and want to build a long-term career with a team that cares, we would welcome the opportunity to meet you.
