SUMMARY
The Audio Visual & Broadcast Systems Engineer shall provide onsite support at Gillette Stadium and Patriot Place. The position requires experience supporting the design, installation, upkeep, and support of Audio Visual, LED, Digital Display and Broadcast Systems. The roles and responsibilities, as well as qualifications below, identify specific technological experience and skill set required to ensure best in class service.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead or assist in the design, configuration, installation, operation, repair, and maintenance of all Audio Visual and Broadcast systems through the direction of the Senior Director of Audio Visual and Broadcast Systems.
- Develop and assist in creating system configuration documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs) to contribute with the improvement of system guidelines and policies.
- Assist in project scheduling and deployment of new system rollout or maintenance upgrade to ensure full functionality and security compliance of hardware and software for all Audio Visual and Broadcast systems.
- Provide game day support associated with network television, radio broadcasts, instant replay, and other related media sources for all events
- Oversee, train, and develop part-time gameday staff in the operation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of all Audio Visual and Broadcast system hardware and software.
- Work with Special Events AV Technicians to ensure all meeting spaces and their respective Audio Visual and Broadcast systems are operational.
- Support Audio Visual and Broadcast Systems integration projects through all stages of the construction process from RFP, design review, and through construction implementation.
- Provide extensive troubleshooting, installation, configuration, and testing of audiovisual and broadcast equipment to include but not limited to SMPTE 2110, digital media players, audio systems, projection systems, digital signage displays, LED systems, IPTV, RF cable systems, cameras, microphones, streaming and encoding technologies, etc.
- Identify and report issues with Audio Visual or Broadcast systems and provides step by step actions to take to resolve the issues.
- Ability to interface with cross-functional teams in the delivery of services to include collaboration with IT, Stadium Operations, Facilities, outside vendors and more.
- Special projects and assignments as business dictates.
- Responsible for the maintenance, creation and control of all personally identifiable information or any other information protected by any Confidentiality or Privacy Standards or Company Policies that you have access or knowledge of, including but not limited to any state or federal regulations including HIPAA.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- This position has no supervisory responsibility
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate degree or equal Technical Degree in audio or video engineering and/or 3 years of experience in audio visual and broadcast system engineering
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in the live sports production, broadcast station operations, or event production field is a plus.
- Knowledge of industry standards for A/V and broadcast technologies, best practices, and service programs
- Knowledge information technology systems, network infrastructure and operations is a plus.
- Proficient with Microsoft programs - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
- Strong customer focus
- Self-starter, able to work efficiently without direct supervision
- Be able to work effectively with other departments receiving and communicating instructions via telephone or in person
- Be able to read and understand technical materials
- Able to set priorities under pressure of deadlines
- Able to concentrate for long periods of time
- Hold a valid driver's license
