Audio Visual Support Technician

Pay Range: $19.00hr - $24.00hr

Job Overview:

The Audio Visual Support Technician delivers on-site technical support for IT and AV infrastructure. This role involves managing hardware, resolving connectivity issues, assisting with event setups, and maintaining asset inventory while delivering professional customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Provide on-site and technical support to users, addressing IT issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
• Manage asset inventory, including tracking, updating, and maintaining records of IT equipment.
• Perform imaging and refreshing of computers and other devices to ensure proper functionality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues, including printer problems, software errors, and network connectivity issues.
• Assist in the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of audio and video equipment, including projectors, microphones, and video conferencing systems.
• Support live events by operating AV systems and addressing technical issues as they arise.
• Collaborate with senior technicians and IT staff to resolve complex issues and improve support processes.
• Deliver professional customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of support requests, resolutions, and equipment maintenance.
• Provide smart hands support in the IDF switch room.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree, equivalent industry experience, or technical certifications/coursework in IT or AV technology.
• Familiarity with the ServiceNow ticketing system.
• Proven experience providing IT support in an office environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Basic understanding of audio and video equipment and their functions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel to various client locations as needed.
• Candidates from a technical education background with at least one year of experience are encouraged to apply, provided they demonstrate a rapid learning curve for the role.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with video conferencing platforms, common office tools, and operating systems.
• Basic knowledge of networking and cabling.
• Experience with asset management software and IT service management tools.
• Familiarity with life sciences, healthcare, or pharmaceutical environments, including HIPAA standards.
