Organization Audiology - Support Staff Job Summary JOB SUMMARY The Vanderbilt Bill Wilkerson Center Division of Audiology is seeking a motivated employee to work in our hearing aid lab. The position involves patient care helping both adults and children troubleshoot hearing devices. The position also involves answering patient phone calls tracking devices that come through the clinic shipping receiving devices earmolds and cochlear implant processors for the department. The applicant will work closely with other lab technicians and audiologists. Lastly the applicant may be crossed trained to check in patients and collect patient payments. Ship items back to manufacturer for repairs remakes or refunds via USPS UPS or FedEx. Order hearing aids accessories and earmolds per Track aid or custom hearing aid forms. TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES Patient Documentation and Billing Intermediate Demonstrates mastery proficiency in documentation practices. Documents in the appropriate templates and utilizes only approved abbreviations within patient documentation. Meets institutional standards for quality and timeliness of documentation and billing. May orient new staff to departmental and VUMC documentation standards. Will complete accurate chart audits of co-workers documentation.
