A well-established CPA firm in Seattle is looking to add an Audit Senior to its growing Assurance team. This is a great opportunity for a public accounting professional who enjoys working directly with clients and wants exposure to a variety of audit, review, and compilation engagements.
What You'll Do
Lead and perform financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations from planning through completion.
Prepare and review financial statements and related disclosures in accordance with GAAP.
Prepare and review engagement workpapers and ensure documentation is complete and accurate.
Handle client communication and serve as a key point of contact throughout engagements.
Identify accounting and financial reporting issues and work with Managers and Partners to resolve them.
Assist with engagement planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
Review work prepared by Staff Accountants and provide coaching and feedback.
Research accounting and auditing matters as needed.
Build strong, long-term relationships with clients.
Work closely with the firm's tax team when engagements overlap.
What We're Looking For
Experience working on audit, review, and compilation engagements.
Strong experience with financial statement preparation and disclosures.
Solid understanding of GAAP and GAAS.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA or CPA eligibility preferred.
Strong communication and client-service skills.
Ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines.
Comfortable working independently while collaborating with Managers and Partners.
The Ideal Candidate
We're particularly interested in someone coming from a small to midsize public accounting firm who has had broad exposure to different types of financial statement engagements.
This is not an audit-only position. Someone who has experience with reviews, compilations, financial statement preparation, and client accounting issues would be an especially strong fit.
