Audit Manager
Location:Milwaukee, WI 53202
Work Model: Hybrid (Minimum 3 days in office – effective March 2026)
Position Type: Full-Time
The Audit Manager will lead financial statement audit engagements, overseeing multiple client teams and ensuring high-quality, on-budget delivery. This role requires strong technical accounting expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to build client relationships while driving engagement success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage multiple financial statement audit engagements simultaneously
  • Oversee engagement teams to ensure audits are completed on time and within budget
  • Review audit workpapers and financial statements for accuracy and compliance
  • Communicate effectively with clients regarding engagement progress and expectations
  • Identify and resolve technical accounting and audit issues
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate staff and senior associates
  • Support business development and proposal activities
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients on business and operational improvements
  • Participate in recruiting and networking events
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP, GAAS, and PCAOB standards
  • Travel as needed (~25%)

Must-Have Requirements

  • Active CPA license (required)
  • Minimum 1+ year experience at Manager level
  • Prior public accounting experience
  • Strong experience in financial statement audits
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, GAAS, and PCAOB standards
  • Proven experience managing multiple audit engagements
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and team management skills
  • Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills
  • Strong communication and client management skills

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

  • PCAOB audit experience (preferred)
  • Experience with mid-to-large public accounting firms
