Audit Partner – Consumer Products / Industrial Products / Technology, Media & Telecommunications RSM's Salt Lake City office opened in August 2024. We are seeking an experienced Audit Partner to join our Consumer Products (CP), Industrial Products (IP), and/or Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) practice in Salt Lake City. The role focuses on serving public and private clients in the region and building our audit practice.Responsibilities Serve as engagement leader and/or client service coordinator, managing the auditing of all required financial statements, related disclosures, and other client deliverables for CP/IP and/or TMT clients.Manage multiple engagements, oversee engagement status, and ensure maintenance of milestones for all projects.Identify technical accounting matters early, assess impact on financial statements, and coordinate with firm specialists.Review work product and communicate audit status to clients periodically, assessing resources needed for completion.Maintain contact with clients throughout the year to develop deeper relationships and better understand client goals and strategies.Manage profitability of projects, evaluate strategy for firm growth, assess risk, design and communicate audit procedures with engagement teams.Understand RSM's lines of businesses, discuss opportunities, and introduce clients to other firm services.Develop a strategy to utilize and continue to develop relationships external to the firm with various Centers of Influence to effectuate business growth.Provide insightful business advice and serve as a trusted business advisor.Understand team members' skillsets, monitor and review their work product, and provide coaching throughout the process.Develop others through training, career development advising, and participation in firm initiatives.Anticipate and address client concerns, escalating issues as they arise.Ensure professional development through ongoing education and stay abreast of GAAP, GAAS, FASB, and firm standards and policies.Qualifications BS/BA degree in Accounting or equivalent.CPA certification.10+ years of current or recent experience in a public accounting environment.8+ years of auditing experience with CP/IP and/or TMT companies and related organizations.Proven record of building profitable, sustainable client relationships.Successful record of directing and deploying team members on multiple simultaneous engagements.Understanding of audit services with knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, FASB regulations.Benefits Competitive compensation package.Flexible schedule to balance life and client service.Equal Employment Opportunity Statement All applicants will receive consideration for employment as RSM does not tolerate discrimination and/or harassment based on race, color, creed, sincerely held religious beliefs, practices or observances, sex (including pregnancy or disabilities related to nursing), gender, sexual orientation, HIV status, national origin, ancestry, familial or marital status, age, physical or mental disability, citizenship, political affiliation, medical condition, domestic violence victim status, past, current or prospective service in the US uniformed service, US military/veteran status, or pre‑disposing genetic characteristics.
