Audit Senior

• Own private-company audit engagements from planning and risk assessment through fieldwork and final issuance, serving as the day-to-day client contact.
• Design and execute audit procedures in compliance with US GAAP and GAAS, documenting work to a standard that stands up to partner and peer review.
• Review and sign off on staff accountant workpapers, delivering timely, constructive feedback that accelerates their development.
• Build consultative relationships with client management, gaining enough operational context to add value beyond the numbers.
• Collaborate with firm leadership on engagement planning, staffing, and efficiency improvements.
• Prepare clear financial reports and disclosures for private middle-market clients across a range of industries.
• Identify technical issues early and escalate with a proposed solution, not just a problem.

• 3 to 5 years of public accounting audit experience (recent and continuous).
• Solid working knowledge of US GAAP, GAAS, and private-company financial reporting.
• Demonstrated experience leading audit engagements and supervising junior staff.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Ability to work fully on-site, five days a week, at our Orange County office.

• Active CPA license or documented progress toward the exam.
• Experience with middle-market private companies or multi-industry client portfolios.
• Familiarity with common audit software platforms used in a paperless environment.

• Salary: $85,000 to $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
